Internship in Poland

According to the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, about 40% of outsourcing R&D centers in Eastern Europe are located in Poland. Among them are the centers of such companies as Google, Microsoft, Unilever, Motorola, Intel. And not the last role here is played by favorable conditions for business. According to the World Bank Group, Poland ranks 33rd out of 190 business-friendly countries, and in the Bloomberg Innovation Index 2018 it is in the top 40.
There are several ways that can help you get an internship in a Polish company.
Search for internships through job sites and recruiting agencies.
1) You can search for internship jobs on sites like LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Pracuj.pl, Indeed, justjoin.it, pl.jooble.org and more. It is also worth looking for recruiting agencies that specialize in finding internships for international students.
2) Appeal to Polish universities and career centers. Many Polish universities have departments that look for internships for their students. You can contact them and find out if they have offers for internships in companies.
3) Contacts through social networks. You can use social networks such as LinkedIn, Facebook to find contacts of employees of Polish companies and contact them directly, requesting an internship opportunity, monitor profile groups.
4) Appeal to the Polish embassies and consulates. Polish embassies and consulates can provide information on internship opportunities in Polish companies.
It must be remembered that in order to receive an internship in a Polish company, you may need additional documents, such as a work visa, work permit, certificate of no criminal record, diploma, translation of all documents into Polish. It is also worth paying attention, the internship can be paid or free, depending on the conditions of the companies, as well as vary greatly in terms and not the fact that it gives a guarantee for employment.
The largest IT communities in Poland are located in Krakow, Wroclaw, Warsaw, Poznan, Gdansk and Lodz.

  5. Prospects for further career. If you think that the company you're about to do your internship with can offer you opportunities for further career development and attract the attention of other employers, then a free internship might be beneficial.
  6. Length of internship. If the internship does not last long, then you can consider it as an opportunity to gain work experience and develop skills. If the internship lasts for a long time, then you should carefully consider your choice, as it can take a long time and prevent you from earning a living.
